This spring, the INSuRE network partners supported 13 student teams at 8 universities: classes were offered at Dakota State University, Iowa State University, Northeastern University, Purdue University, Stevens Institute of Technology, University of California Davis, and University of Texas at Dallas, and a student from Mississippi State University also participated. Students chose their projects from a list of 25 problems contributed by our sponsors, who also furnished technical directors to guide the work at distance. We also piloted our first multi-institutional teams: two student teams were formed of students at different universities and in different geographical locations. The semester closed with four weeks of final report presentations due to the number of students teams and the staggered ending times of academic terms.
This summer, we are looking forward to adding to the network and giving presentations of both student work and INSuRE core work at cybersecurity conferences.
